Army Enlist

The United States Army offers both Full Time and Part Time opportunities including: Active Duty (full time), Army Reserves (part time), National Guard (part time) and ROTC, or JROTC (prepare while in high school and college).


Full Time: Enlist in the Active Army as an Enlisted Soldier or Officer. Active Duty is an 8 year commitment with 2-6 year terms of service.

To enlist in the U.S. Army you must be:
• Between the ages of 17 and 34
• A U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
• Healthy and in good physical condition
• In good moral standing

Join the US Army as an Officer through ROTC OR JROTC, West Point, Officer's Candidate School, or a Direct Commissioned Officer.


Part Time: Join the Army Reserves. The Army Reserve requires that you make an 8 year military commitment, serve at least one weekend a month and two weeks a year. Terms of service for Army Reserve enlistments are 1-6 years. Additional duty is possible. As an Army Reservist you may be required to serve full time when needed.

Part Time: The Army National Guard is another avenue for part time service. It has been an indispensable part of America's defense network for over 366 years and is a direct reflection of the American's spirit and declaration to Live Free or Die. Basic Training

Basic Training consist of nine weeks of intense training designed to hone your skills, teach you new skills, optimize your physical and mental performance. It will prepare you mentally, physically, and emotionally to be the best that you can be.

- Army Physical Fitness Test
- Height & Weight Requirements
- Push Ups
- Sit Ups
- 2 Mile Run

After Basic Training you'll be off to Advanced Individual Training (AIT) where you will learn the skills to perform your Army job (MOS).
