Critical Care Physician

The Critical Care Physician provides lifesaving treatment to Air Force patients. As a Critical Care Physician, you will examine, diagnose and treat, by surgical and nonsurgical means, diseases and injuries in critical care units while also managing critical care activities. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing case histories and obtaining data through interviews. You will also examine patients, interpret test results and evaluate examination findings to prescribe treatment in coordination with other specialists. You will treat patients suffering from surgical shock, postoperative hemorrhages, respiratory failure, and other complications.
